b) Other important Information
Our Site may from time to time provide links to other third party web sites (including those of Takeda’s affiliates and/or subsidiaries). The Privacy Policy described here does not apply to those sites. Please ensure you check the legal and privacy policy sections of any site you access.

c) Use of IP Address
Every computer and device connected to the Internet is assigned a unique number known as an Internet protocol (IP) address. Since these numbers are usually assigned in country-based blocks, an IP address can often be used to identify the country, state, and city from which a computer is connecting to the Internet.

Takeda, or third party companies acting on behalf of Takeda, may collect IP addresses for the purposes of systems administration and to audit the use of our Site. We do not ordinarily link a user's IP address to information that directly identifies that user, which means each user's session will be logged, but the user remains anonymous to us. However, we may use IP addresses to identify users of our Site where we feel it is necessary to enforce compliance with our Terms and Conditions (see the link to our Terms and Conditions above), applicable law or to protect our Site or other users.

d) Cookies
This Site may collect and process log-in information details where you have elected to use the “remember my login” feature, if log-in is required to use the Site or any part of it, and this feature is made available to you. By electing to use this feature, you are acknowledging that the system will place a cookie into your browser cookie cache (See below).

Cookies are small files that are stored on a user's computer and identify your computer to our server or the server of any agent acting on our behalf. Cookies do not identify the individual user, only the computer used, including where available, your IP address, operating system and browser type. They are designed to hold a modest amount of data specific to a particular client and website, and can be accessed either by the web server or the client computer. This allows the server to deliver a page tailored to a particular user, or the page itself can contain some script which is aware of the data in the cookie and so is able to carry information from one visit to the website (or related site) to the next.

Users will have the choice to allow this Site to remember their login id and a cookie will be downloaded onto the browser’s computer if they choose to acknowledge and accept this cookie.

You have the ability to accept or decline cookies. Most Web Browsers automatically accept cookies, but you can usually modify your browser setting to decline cookies, or receive a warning before a cookie is stored, if you prefer. Please refer to your Internet Browser’s instructions or help screen to learn more about these functions and to specify your cookie preferences. If you choose to decline cookies by selecting “decline”, this process will ensure that the cookie is not downloaded on to your computer. However, you may not be able to fully experience the interactive features of this Site or any other websites that you visit.

Takeda will not use your personal data for direct marketing purposes.

Please note that this Privacy Policy may be revised at any time so users are encouraged to visit this page every time they visit the Site. The effective date of this Privacy Policy is 27 March 2012.
